Aquafan joined the Costa Edutainment world in October 2013.

In 2014, Costa Edutainment created the new integrated Costa Parchi complex that brings together Aquafan and Oltremare in Riccione, acquired by the Valdadige Costruzioni group and the Cattolica Aquarium, already under management since 2000.

The fundamental driving force of the new Costa Parchi center is an integration which, starting from the specific characteristics of structures now consolidated in a Riviera that makes hospitality its main vocation, knows how to enhance the variety of the proposal by offering solutions ranging from leisure to educational entertainment and that respond to the needs of the different targets to experience quality free time.

Costa Edutainment

Costa Edutainment, leader in Italy in the edutainment sector, has the mission of responding to the growing demand for a qualitative use of free time, combining culture, education, emotion and fun in unique and meaningful experiences.

Specialized in the management of large public and private facilities dedicated to recreational, cultural, educational, study and scientific research activities, the company manages in Genoa, in addition to the Genoa Aquarium, the Galata Museo del Mare with the submarine S-518 Nazario Sauro, The city of children and young people, the Biosphere, the Bigo panoramic lift, the National Museum of Antarctica and, since May 2013, the multisensory exhibition-itinerary, in total absence of light, Dialogue in the Dark.

In addition to the three parks of the Romagna Riviera, Aquafan, Oltremare and Cattolica Aquarium, in the national territory, Costa Edutainment manages the Livorno Aquarium and the Cala Gonone Aquarium in Sardinia, in collaboration with Panaque srl.

The company is also directly involved in Civita Group, through a 24% stake. Civita Group operates in the area for the protection and enhancement of the Italian cultural and environmental heritage, with an annual turnover of about 65 million Euros through the management of the structures, about 100 museums, of which 5 of the first 6 Italian realities and organization of exhibitions and events. Part of the Civita Group is Opera Laboratori Fiorentini, a company that since 1 July 2009 manages the commercial spaces of the Vatican Museums and that for years has participated in the management of the Uffizi Gallery and Vasari Corridor, Accademia Gallery and Siena Cathedral. Costa Edutainment currently has over 11 million visitors a year managed directly or through its subsidiaries.
